Police Chief?

I remember posting/reading about this on IMDB related to this movie. At the end of City Hall, Da Vinci and the Police Chief were still at odds. Well police chief seemed to want to make a deal at that point but Da Vinci wanted to put his "feet to the fire"This time they are all chummy, although Klotchko and Da Vinci still don't get along. I found that an interesting change, not an error but rather a hint that something happened between them between the TV show and the movie in which they made peace.
