Stolen Scene From Amélie

Everyone talks about how this is a off of memento..
but has anyone seen the movie Amélie? It's a french movie.

The scene where Asin helps the blind man to the station is CLEARLY an exact copy of the scene from amélie.
I watch Ghajini before Amélie and was so disappointed when I watched Amélie when the scene came up. It felt like a slap in the face because I loved Ghajini so much.

=[

In any case, it was a good movie.. I wish bollywood would grow some creativity and stop stealing form foreign directors though.

If you think rain is depressing, then you've obviously never danced in it before....

I had seen Amelie before I saw Ghajini. That scene looked familiar but i couldn't place it.
I saw Amelie again on TV recently and was shocked by the realisation of how this particular scene was so shamelessly ripped off.
I did not like Ghajini in the first place so I wasn't disappointed like you were.
But yes, it reminded me of just how resourceful some Indian film writers/directors really are. They are openly getting 'inspiration' from French films now, and not just Holllywood

Only reason i came here on the threads of Ghajini is to see how many people knows about the Amelie scene. I m shocked too, this scene has been shamelessly ripped off from the classic Amelie. Very disappointed with Indian directors.

Feelings can creep up just like that. I thought I was in control.
