You don't know that, even the best directors make garbage sometimes.

yes, indeed. jo is becoming such a talented actor. heard it's due next month, i wonder if it's going to be shown here in the states. i hope so. i've yet to see jo on the big screen.

I just saw this movie in Seoul, and it's so painful to watch (in both the regular and the Seom sense) that I had to walk out of the theater. It's objectively terrible, but the movie's even worse because I know that Kim Ki Duk is capable of making brilliant, brilliant movies. In my book, the unabashed crappiness of this movie and Hwal and the mediocrity of 3-iron and Time offset the brilliance of Seom, Bom Yeorum, and Samaria to an extent that cause me to believe that Kim is a has been. Tragic.

reply

Uh...wow
Samaria was the biggest P.O.S. Kim ever squeezed out on the toilet.

reply

No, this is the biggest POS any directors ever squeezed out. This was downright atrocious.

Any one watching it that is capable of rational thought and emotion will laugh this movie off, and walk away. There is no reason to finish watching a movie with such a terrible script as this. It's better to pretend it doesn't exist, and wait for his new films.

reply

I concur that.
