Plot :
Adam ( Charlie Day ) is a rock-star/brain-surgeon / comic-book-hero/samurai/ etc who along with his group, the Hong Kong Cavaliers, must stop evil creatures from the 8th dimension , who are trying to conquer our dimension. He is helped by Olive ( Mary Elizabeth Ellis )who is a dead ringer for his late wife, and some good extra-dimensional beings who look and talk like they are from Jamaica.

I am definitely sure about Mel as the lead. At last, I hope this project, along with 'The Informant, will give her enough coverage for Hollywood to start offering her lead roles. She has been a supporting actress for way too long.

I agree with sigismond -- unfortunately, I don't think she is the lead; as far as I'm aware, Charlie Day and Mary Elizabeth Ellis are starring.
Just a mistake on IMDB's part.

Mary Elizabeth Ellis and Cy Carter are the leads. Charlie Day has about two minutes of screen time total, but he's hilarious as usual. Almost the entire film consists only of Ellis and Carter. It's an amazing film and I hope everyone gets a chance to see it.
