... Their not going to quit... are they?

1997, Air Bud comes out. I was seven, so naturally I wanted to see the damn thing. It was an alright film. The sequel comes out, Golden Receiver. I see it in theater, I'm pissed about how they cut out the only thing I liked from the trailer (some stupid cgi effect), I forget about it days later. Since then, I've avoided this series of dog crap, by this point you think the series would be dead. No, all it ever is is a new sport, a new dog and a title that just begs to have a number in it.
I want it to stop, but the sad fact is if they keep making money on this straight to dvd sequel crap... their going to rape it into the ground just as they did Beethoven and Home alone. Piss all over our childhoods for couple of bucks, asses. Hey! Heres and idea.... Try making something original for once and quit taking the easy way out! Nothing screams out "Hack" like a 6'th or 7'th straight to dvd sequel.

And now you're somebody on a internet message board telling another person how cool you were back when you were seven and eight.... What happened?

Nope, they're not going to stop running things into the ground. All it takes is one popular or semi-popular kids movie and studios thing they can just continue pushing this junk out there, especially for younger kids. Thankfully you don't have to watch it and can probably avoid it completely. Look at Land Before Time, I lost count of how many movies they've made and have no interest in looking up exactly how far along they are, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're up to number 20 by now. I saw the original, the second and maybe the third but then I grew out of it and haven't looked back.
