How did she die, the baby just came out and was it misshaped or something??
And i didn't understand the thing with the boy and the frog in his pillow...
Thanks..

Rosaria died in labor, no idea about the baby but I guess that died as well.
I don't really get the thing with the boy and the frog either, but maybe the frog showing up in the father's bag after he got rid of it is probably a lead in for him getting possessed.
Maybe someone with more knowledge about catholic religion might know what the frogs mean.

Actually, just as Michael gets to the hospital it's mentioned that the baby has come out dead. But nothing is said about Rosaria. It's only on a later scene mentioned that she passed too. Up till that point I thought only the baby had died. But I guess the mother then died in the labor as well...

The frog thing was greatly implied in the movie: Lucas put the frog into the pillow himself! Probably to take away the fear from the boy and the mom as to say it was all because of the "demonic" frog in the pillow... In a later scene Michael founds another frog in Lucas' bag and then sees the pool of frogs in Lucas' yard, thus he says to Lucas upon returning his bag "Here's ur bag of tricks".

Thanks for explaining that frog-thing. I lately have been having trouble making links like that. So stupid I missed that...

Taken from the "trivia" section: "The image used to describe the demon Baal is usually that of a man, a cat, a toad, or a combination of all of them. Lucas house is infested with cats, as well as toads in the fountain." I think it implies that the boy is also possessed by Baal.

And I don't think Lucas put the frog in the pillow but that it just looked that way. After the bag of tricks line Lucas mutters "he's a deceiver" so perhaps the demon only wanted Michael to believe that Lucas put the frog in the pillow to keep Michael in doubt because as long as he was doubtful, he couldn't defeat the demon.

So is that why when Michael enters his room in the Vatican, it's all filled with frogs? Michael is not possessed by Ba'al though :/

The kid was born dead, the mother died from bleeding.

The toad seemed to me to be a curse in the pillow.
