Executive Producer credit offer on Part 3

I can't believe Charles Band is getting away with this. Apparently, if you blow $120 at www.fullmoondirect.com, you'll get an executive producer credit on Gingerdeadman 3. You get on IMDB and everyone thinks your in the film industry.

I take some offense to this becuase I'm an executive producer on a film struggling for distribution, and the title required a sh!t load more work then just forking over 120 bucks. I had to invest 4.5 grand, and babysit the filmmakers for 2 years because no one knew what the hell they were doing. You can now get on IMDB and build your film resume just by buying stuff from Band's website... Agh, maybe I'll just give in and buy some sh!t. You gotta do everything you can to get ahead in this business.

All the executive producers for part 2 are not listed. Its more just some gimicky thing to move merch. I'll still pay them 500 to let me write it.

I spent $150 dollars to be credited in GDM3. I just finished watching GDM 2 and yes, all the credits are there. But I don't think you can actually get away with claiming you're an executive producer because of it. It's just a fun gimmick!

Calm down. Quit being a baby. If you're seriously worried about this, your priorities are all messed up and you don't deserve anyone's sympathy.

This kind of goes in different directions depending on how you look at it. I also invested a little over $200 worth of merchandise from Full Moon, and even got a little acquainted with the company, and was rewarded with not only with receiving credit on the upcoming GDM Part 3, but also got one of the original replications of 'Blade' from the Puppet Master films.

All in all, I've worked on larger independent films for nearly five years and have served as production manager and executive producer on some of them. According to the Producers Guild of America, an executive producer for an independent film (non-studio) can get credit if they finance at least 25% of the film. In this case, Full Moon does not really disclose the entire budgets of their horror films, so if you look at it in that perspective, if one of his films cost $1 million, and someone invests $200 like I did, that is clearly not 25% of the picture.

I've always admired Charles Band and am privilaged to be apart of one of his films, even though they are bad and nothing compared to his more modest films he did when he ran Empire International Pictures back in the 1980's. But I think he mainly just wants to use this as a promotional piece for his films, engage fans into his product and reward them with something special like crediting them as an Executive Producer.
