Ok, the movie was very mixed. Looked interesting, great location, decent acting... but a plot that was very derivative, a mediocre buildup that left you wanting, short on strong women (except the one), a million plot holes...

But did anyone else think the colony itself, based on the exterior (which seemed somewhat similar) and that it was a seed repository, was loosely based on the Global Seed Vault in Norway? Probably it wasn't meant to be literal, since the movie seemed not to be set in Norway, but otherwise...

I'll play. Svaldbard is an island with a very small population and it's in the Arctic Circle. How would survivors get there in the first place? That would be a LOT of frozen water to traverse with no shelter.

I did, however, think of that among the other seed vaults.
