It would have been nice for him to have more screen time. He's a vulgar and floating piggy who could have provided greater context were more of his conversation ( as in the book) included.
Otherwise, this adaptation nails the book ( absense of the latter pages notwithstanding).
But, if I hadn't read the book, a lot of the subtleties in the story might have escaped me. I just don't think the books can ever fully translate into a film under 3 hours. And general audiences might get bored to death.

I just don't think the books can ever fully translate into a film. Period.

Even the treason arc based on what I remember is much more complex and detailed in the book.
