I saw Zendaya almost immediately and had to turn it off. Not a fan of Denis Villeneuve , either. I'll just read the novel again.

shareWhy is Hollywood giving her such roles? She cannot act, she has no screen presence, she is not attractive. But she keeps getting these relatively big roles. She can dance. Dancing probably not going to help in Dune.

ie: You got pride parades etc. because of all the hate that gives them more meaning. BLM getting streets named after them and painted on, etc.

shareIt looks big enough, but not dark enough. Looks like an Avengers/Justice league baby, very clean-cut. Hopefully I'm wrong and that's just the trailer. Lynch's version, as camp and lacking as it was, caught that atmosphere.
shareI loved the novel and am looking forward to this very much, but have serious doubts about whether this film will do well. This overlong trailer is not going to convert many people. While there is a ready-made audience, they need to net in non-fans to make money and guarantee a sequel, and this isn’t going to do it,
I also found it odd that Rebecca Ferguson, who plays essentially the second lead, barely appears. While I do appreciate that Zendaya is a big name and they want to use her to market the movie, this was a strange choice as Ferguson will be central to some of the film’s biggest scenes.
