Rebecca Ferguson is not beautiful enough to play the mother

And Joe Pomeron is too young to play the father as well, but i can let that pass. A better option and in keeping with tradition would have been to cast Monica Belluci.

I think she will look fine as Jessica. https://www.hawtcelebs.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/rebecca-ferguson-at-doctor-sleep-premiere-in-westwood-10-29-2019-4.jpg

I'm more interested in how she plays the part.

What? She's the most beautiful woman i've eve fucking seen.

Rebecca Ferguson is very beautiful. She is one of the few solid casting choices.

im swedish and shes ugly/average looking. you figs need to get some standards.

reply

I'm half Swedish and she is beautiful.

Whilst I will admit the Swedes are without a doubt one of the most attractive people’s on this planet, I also think Rebecca Ferguson is more than qualified to be called beautiful - especially in a role where she will be playing a teenager/young adult’s Mother.

Being Swedish you would probably be aware she was a commercial model for cosmetic, jewellery and clothing companies from her teenage years onwards before she became a successful actor. Not many ‘unattractive’ people get employed to advertise products for contracts such as those.

Personally I think she has ‘another world/time’ quality about her look and in photos/roles that I’ve seen where she has a lighter hair colour she looks like she’ll make a wonderful Lady Jessica.

But this is comment website and everyone has their own opinion!

She's half Irish I think. She's pretty but made up looking natural here.

I loved Francesca Annis as Lady Jessica, and Monica Belluci would have been a great choice too, I can’t say seen I’ve Rebecca Ferguson in much, but how is Lady Jessica described in the books? Is she supposed to be as beautiful as Francesca Annis was in that role?

reply

I could be wrong as it’s been more than a few decades since I read the books but I think she had very fair features and is described as not only stunningly beautiful, full of poise and elegance but also has next level physical and mental agility from her training with the secretive Bene Gesserit sisterhood.

Possibly from seeing the David Lynch film I want to say that she also has red/golden hair but I could easily be proved wrong about that by someone who knows the books better than I?

You fucking what mate?

She's a beautiful regal Woman.

She was good looking in this movie

I thought she was awesome in this. particularly the scene when they were captured by the Harkonnen and flying (about 90 mins in), and she uses the voice to say "give me the knife" etc
