Shaky Cam + Renny Harlin = Really?

I mean, Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger) & Mark Gordon (Speed, John Woo's Broken Arrow) are two of the top names of action movies in the 90's.
I just can't understand why out of all the people, an action "veteran" like Renny Harlin would want to incorporate "shaky cam" in what sometimes seemed to be a throwback movie with almost no CGI (not counting the horrible explosion at the end followed by a song that did not fit into the movie).

I don't think this movie knew what it wanted to be. And that´s a shame.
The film has pretty good action scenes and John Cena has some charisma in the lead role.
