After watching this movie did anyone feel like it was a total ripoff of Die Hard 3, ?

Only sane people who do not have a man-crush on Cena.

watching it right now, and thought of Die Hard 3

Yup, essentially the same plot, although it was handled differently enough that it wasn't just an unofficial remake.

By the way, exclusive spoiler for the next Die Hard movie: the villain's apparent ideological motive is really a sham, and he's just in it for the money.

Just saw it this weekend and half-way through the movie, I felt I'd seen it before, it wasn't till the end that I realized why I had a strong sense of deja-vu

The big coincidence is that Renny Harlin directed 12 Rounds AND Die Hard 2. (Note that it's a coincidence and not irony.)

lol exactly the first thing that came to mind when i saw it haha. was an okay movie but so funny its bad that how much it knocks off DH 3.

even more ironic the director is of DH 2. so some closeness to the series.
