Maybe the producers hope to tie up all of those loose ends in The American Mall 2! I watched and wondered if it was such a good idea to let so many kids run a mall. Maybe some adult supervision would have got those kids working instead of singing and dancing.

I was watching the commentary on the DVD, the one with the director and the janitors (because I'm a dork and I like the bonus features haha) and the director kept saying that there might be a sequel, so who knows. That commentary is worth watching, if you're into that stuff. It's funny.
I think they did keep the store. I saw a scene on the DVD with that whole ribbon cutting grand opening of their "Stay Tuned" Music Store and the asian guy and that madison follower making out haha
