.....And now for something different! Great movie!

I cannot understand why this movie has been rated so low. Perhaps it should have been a drama rather than a comedy as someone else suggested in another post, but the unique circumstances and storyline of this movie makes it (in my most humble opinion) a terrific film. Of course almost everyone can identify with most of the themes in this film (ie. mid-life crisis, search for identity, marriage, adultery and religion), this film tackles perhaps sensitive subject matter, particularly the idea of being Jewish, or converting to Judaism and more importantly, a woman's role in a marriage where in the process of raising their child, she lost her own identity and made sacrifices. This film shows the tables turning and puts the husband to the test. Will he make the same sacrifices for her now that their son has left the nest and is getting married?

I highly recommend this film. Something completely different, as in the words of the Mighty Pythons.

p.s. I forgot to mention the beautiful scenery of Israel that is part of the film. One really gets a chance to see life in Israel in a more positive light as opposed to the violent side we see daily in the media.
