I have no idea what to make of this [no spoilers]

This is the most mixed bag of tropes I have ever watched. If anybody can explain to me how it has 90% on Rotten Tomatoes (at the time I posted this), I would be happy to r--think my position. I just do not understand the high score.

The cinematography was both great and awefull. It has John Cusack playing a badass, and I'm always in for some badaass Cusack, but I just don't know with this movie.

What did you guys think? This feels as though all the ingredients for an awesome movie was there, and it was spoilt by incorrect proportions.

I am leaning towards a hard no on this one.

Edit: I rewatched it today without 3 pints of beer in me and I am still not sure what I am missing with this movie. It's not that bad, but it sure isn't 90% Rotten Tomatoes good. I suppose it's just not my thing, since it seems other people are loving it.

I watched this over 5 days during my lunch break, so I may have missed some pacing flaws, but I really enjoyed it. I don't think it was perfect or maybe even great, but I did enjoy the story and the film overall. The final confrontation was very satisfying.
