More of a drama than comedy....possible spoilers

Although some humorous scenes, this seems to be more of a drama than a comedy. A selfishly meddling daughter, who seems to blame everyone else for the unhappiness in her life, is bent on denying her mother's happiness in remarrying and schemes with the fiancé's philandering son to destroy the relationship. The son has his own agenda, part of which is detrimental to her and her mother's business. On top of all that, she seems to have an attraction to the son over her ex boyfriend. She and the ex boyfriend blame each other for their breakup but he still pines for her. She however puts him off at every attempt to reconcile even when he finally lays it all out that he still loves her. Her response is she can't because she's looking for "forever" and it's never been him. In addition to that, she does finally succeed in stopping the pending marriage which breaks her mother's heart. She does it by confronting her mother's fiancé in front of her mother about opening a competing business close by instead of speaking to him about it privately first. Thus her mother immediately calls off the wedding.

Everything works out as one would expect. The Daughter behaves horribly and for some inexplicable reason still gets the guy in the end.

I did find it interesting that her mother finally tells her that the idolized dead father was not all he was cracked up to be. He might have been great Dad but he was a terrible husband who cheated on Mom often.

That might have been on of a few defining moments. But the expression on her face is priceless.
