Effected your opinion about his movies?

Unfortunately yes :( I wasn't aware of his "raped a 13 year old girl" case until this documentary, I’m not a big fan of reading IMDb message boards or following celebrities' life etc.

But when I realized that, Polanski wasn't only accused committing rape, which he really accepted he was interested in underage "girls" I feel frustration...

I finished watching the documentary; I came back IMDb and rated his movies "1" with those feelings. After I realize it was a hatred that his movies don't deserve, maybe he does but not his works, I revert my rates as their first stage again...

I know lots of authors, poets, philosophers or artists were all heresy by one way or another, but that that doesn't mean that their works are not valuable. Their expression of darkness makes our life bearable as whole art forms...But certainly their darkness should only reflected by their art, not their real-world actions...If they couldn't rasp their darkness with their works, there is an expression deficiency with their works which makes me rethink about them...
