Finally a dvd of CSNY!
I can't wait for this dvd. I hope it contains a full concert as well as a documentary
shareI can't wait for this dvd. I hope it contains a full concert as well as a documentary
shareIt's closing film of the Sundance film festival. So there will be a theatrical release later this year! Can't wait to see CSNY live on the big screen!
shareUnless they do a bonus disc when the DVD release happens, the film is much less of a concert film than a documentary. You do see performance clips, but it's much more about the reaction of the audience to the more political material than anything else.
shareI can understand why it is not a complete concert because the focus on this tour was very different fom there 2000 and 2002 tours . I heard it focuses more on the audience during the songs in the movie. I have read that we may get a cd out of the release so i can't complain there. All in all i think it will be a rather interesting film and well worth it
sharewatched the sundance channel today and saw the concert crowd in the movie get bent out of shape over impeach the president song for lying, priceless.
i remembered how Ohio and Chicago made people p.o.ed.
can't wait for movie.
I think the same clip is on Neil Young's Living With War microsite.
shareI was looking at the Berlin film festival for info on the new Stones doco when i found out about this. Looking forward to it very much. Great to see there a few artists still prepared to shake the tree. Pity the younger bands of today are more concerned about eye liner and posing.
shareDoes anyone know when we might see a dvd release for this?

This is due to be released in the UK on the 25th August from Metrodome.
shareTy for info sweavers....... am already thinking of purchasing a sleeping-bag in order that I can start a queue @ Metrodome (wherever the h*ll it is!)... LOL. Just kidding, but genuine thanks for the info.
shareYou are welcome. Should have probably mentioned it is avaialable to order from Play. http://www.play.com/Music/MusicDVD/4-/5387587/Let-Get-Lost/Product.html
Saw it On-Demand tonight and while it is a documentary and not a concert film...it was amazing! Some truly gut-wrenching scenes during "Shock And Awe," "Living With War," and "Find The Cost Of Freedom." You'll have to see it for yourself.
A much better film than the Dixie Chicks' "Shut Up And Sing" which I thought was a great documentary...but I think this one blew it out of the water.
Just back from seein' it myself and LOVED it!!! Not having lived through the Viet Nam protests as a teen or adult, I enjoyed their music, but never really "got it"---until now---and as much as I still enjoyed hearing it, I'm really PISSED OFF that there's a "need" to remind people that 40 years of livin' since then has taught us nothing...nada...rien...bubkes...ZILCH!!!!!!
