An American named 'Rupert?'

There's no such thing as an American named Rupert, you silly English kniggits.

reply

Yes, because in a country of 300+ million, there's not one single person named rupert. Brilliant...

reply

Perhaps since he is playing the "Demons" version of Anthony Head's character in "BuffY" they thought they would give him the same name!

I used to work with an American named Rupert, his old man was English but he was born and raised in New York.

Nah, once Christian Cooke put his pants on, it all went downhill after that. Pity that underwear scene happened in the opening scene of the series, they should have built up to that.

De Niro is called Rupert in King of Comedy

Rupert Jee - American entrepreneur and television celebrity who has gained fame through frequent appearances on Late Show with David Letterman (So there is at least one)

reply

But he was Chinese.. probably had parents from or was born in Hong Kong hence the English style name.

reply

Isn't Stewie Griffin's stuffed bear named Rupert?

But true, in all my life I've never met anyone here in the U.S. named Rupert. Or even heard of anyone. But I'm sure that somewhere you can find someone with the name.

There isn't an Australian called Talulah Does The Hula From Hawaii. She was from New Zealand, and she won the right in court to change her name 6 months ago.

Now if Philip Glenister wore yellow checked trousers, a red jumper and a little scarf, this show would *really* be worth watching.

Just a painted face on a trip down suicide row

reply

I didn't think he was an american. Doesn't luke say at one point that he's from the north? Then again, I try not to think too hard about the inconsistancies in this show...if i use my brain, I probably won't enjoy it as much.
