CO2 Cop Car

I'm watching this episode and two things occur to me. 1 if the goal is to reduce air intake to the engine, why not fire something sticky over the grill to block it, like putty. 2 spraying an opaque gas in front of a speeding vehical and obscuring the driver's view is dangerous.

Pretty much every episode is like that. The entire premise is a solution looking for a problem. They decided early on that they wanted to use a bunch of fire extinguishers for something, so they put together this elaborate scenario to do it.

There are dozens of ways to stop a car if you're willing to get that close (puncturing the radiator, electrical surge to the front grill, shooting projectile into engine block, etc).

The real problem is getting that close during a high speed chase just doesn't work. The entire premise just doesn't make any sense.
