I mean, they ignore scores, hundreds, if not thousands of other films. Is this a paid placement?

Why shouldn't it be listed on IMDb? It's a film. If you know of other films that should be on the database, there's a way to submit them.

shareI agree with the other two responses. This was an Oscar nominee, and there's really no reason NOT to include it.
Other reasons:
* To complete the list of films including John Lennon
* 354 people have voted on this film, which is more than most shorts I've seen listed on IMDb, so relatively speaking lots of people are seeing it.
* It was screened at Sundance
* It won AFI Best Animated Short
* TIFF named it among the 10 best Canadian shorts of 2007
