I don't care about the CGI

Which the Japanese are fairly renowned for in their fantasy/horror genre films anyway. I loved this film, loved the effects, the high drama, the characters, and all of it. I don't sit down to watch a film about Ninjas for gritty realism.I still get taken by the hero's journey, the romance, the tragedy and triumph and sorrow...I see it kind of like epic poetry of old...a great adventure with odd characters, larger than life and lots of bloody violence but with no sense of having actually felt violated watching it. Pure escapism. Yay.
