Extremely interesting n adventurous movie!!!!

I bet this was based on the historical Dogen, a Japanese monk from the 13th century whose was the only to leave a diary behind! He traveled through China on foot and crossed paths w/ a so many ppl who him the man he became. I learned about him in College also, as the guy in "user reviews".
