An Informal Remake of "The Last of Sheila" (1973)

Buried in a thread below, "letuss" writes:

This is a remake of The Last of Sheila (1973.)

Letuss writes: "I tried to see if anyone can stream it, and I can’t find it. Just looking at the locations is worth seeing in south of France - Antibes. Raquel Welch is in it for those who don’t know much about her. But it is the devilish and really despicable (character wise) James Coburn that makes this movie. Maybe it will come back out. The catacombs/caverns scene is spectacular in the old monastery."

I would like to add:

I decided to lift this comment and re-post it with its own heading because that's a very good call: even though the details are different, the "start up" feels and looks JUST like The Last of Sheila...the bright sun, the ocean, the boat, the main guy with the murder mystery party(James Coburn becomes Edward Norton, though the characters are different.) And real murder occurs.

Moreover, The Last of Shiela was co-written by actor Anthony Perkins(Psycho) and music man Stephen Sondheim(West Side Story) -- and Sondheim actually appears in Glass Onion and gets a memorial note in the end credits. Sondheim died in 2021.

The movies are not at all alike in plot or characters or dialogue, but "the look and feeling is the same."
