Bill Murray?

Anyone know why they idolized Bill Murray, out of all the comedians they could have idolized? Yeah, he was great in his older movies, Ghostbusters being a classic. But is he really at that level of stardom to have a whole section of the movie devoted to him? Did it seem a bit forced, like he wrote that part because he wanted to exemplify his existence or something like that?

Maybe Bill was the only guy they could get...

I think it was to make fun of woody Harrelson and bill Murray being on film together again from the movie kingpin, murray's character betrayed him and ever since then woody's character hated him

It's Bill *beep* Murray

Communism was just a red herring!

I can't tell if OP is trolling or just young.
I mean Ghostbusters is his only movie named? Not even 1 of his best.
Try Stripes, Caddyshack, Where the Buffalo roam, Scrooged, What about Bob? (Granted all from the 80s). Plus the greatest SNL cast member of all time! It's Bill Fkin Murray!
IMO, he bumped this movie from good to great. He's a genius.

reply

I didn't say GB was his only named movie. But all his greatests come from the 80's. He's washed up, sir. He has no business being BILL F'KING MURRAY!!! He's just bill murray. All lower case.

reply

Not forced at all. Like others have said, it's Bill *beep* Murray. Another one no one has mentioned is Groundhog Day. One of the greatest movies ever made.
