Parlez Francias?

From my very limited knowledge of French, I thought the subtitles were way off the script. An easy one:
When Georges exits "the Bridges of Toko-Ri" the subtitles begin, "after the cinema..." which is not what he says.
Did any French speakers find the subtitles to be rubbish?
