Think you summed it up best. Yes, from what little I read here, I see they were going for far more. WHAT exactly--I dunno (think God only knows)--but couldn't have missed in a bigger way.
Cared NOTHING about these frightful, tedious loser-characters nor was the story colorful, amusing, intriguing or creative. I thought & thought & can't find ONE redeeming value of time invested in this. Not even one small positive adjective can be used. At minimum, wished I were multitasking while it was on.
I try & try again, but it's a VERY rare find to see a French movie worthy of spending time & thought on. And frankly, my tastes are overwhelming toward foreign films at this age. I think I approach them with completely open mind. This shouldn't have been made or released.
