I wanted to know too...
They're obviously going for a Visual Kei style. Whether or not that was a real band, let alone what band it is is my question. They could have very easily gotten a bunch of random musicians together for the movie or else they could have at least mentioned a cameo.

Ok, I haven't seen this movie so I'm not sure whether I'm answering your question... but...

The Japanese rock band Nightmare (Naitomea) do appear in this movie as a rock band.

They are one of the most influential bands in the Visual Kei style, have been active since 2000 and are just plain fantastic.
They perform the opening and closing songs in the first half of the anime series "Death Note" (Japanese version), and I think they also perform the opening song of an anime called "Claymore".

Info on them in English is a bit limited, but just google Naitomea, or search on YouTube, and you'll find some stuff.
They are well worth the frustration of not knowing Japanese, if you like good rock that is....
Have fun.
