I'm not sure I believe the whole show is fake. I am positive at least one of the runners was definitely an actress. There was an African American woman who was mugging for the cam and doing obviously scripted actions:

Fall - spin- shoot the hunter in the nick of time - hold the pose with a look of desperation.

Put on the invisible glasses run around the corner - take off glasses and within .5 sec say "shoots, my 2 minutes weren't up" with over acted disappointment.

Maybe they are all actors but this one was by far the most obvious.
