LOVED it.

sooooo intense. what did you think?

reply

It was intensely boring.

reply

It reminded me of an action film

reply

I disagree, it wasn't like an action because there was very little action. Although, it was similar to a fiction film thanks to the large amounts of reincarnation scenes.
The most pleasurable aspect of the film was the Notre Dame scene because everyone was very happy. It was qt.
Philip says his 'story is a fairy tale' this probably references to the abnormal, unbelievableness of life

reply

"film thanks to the large amounts of reincarnation scenes."

More like some kind of horror film I would say ... THE DEAD RISE!!!

reply

Climax could have been more exciting, and once reaching the main event I didn't have the same excited response to say for example Amy, as I would have had, if I had previous cultural knowledge of the event.

reply

i agree, i think even if we had some cultural knowledge it could have been way more exicting

reply

Not particularly entertaining for my personal taste and I didn't feel engaged throughout

reply

Ur wrong m8

There was no why to why he actually did it, it just happened rather abruptly and as part of an audience I feel as if they could have gone into my detail. In a fictional film plots are, you could argue, more exaggerated and seem more intense for the viewer. I think the score was a little too soft for the film and very mutual throughout so I think this should have been thought through a little more as well. However the use of training videos allowed a little more background to Phillipes' character which we sometimes don't get with someone who is fictional.

reply

I agree with Rebecca 😀 The score used wasn't really adding to the documentary, or building any tension...it was just playing😐😐

kanye stop making big words

Man On Wire is a documentary, therefore all of it is based on fact and this truth cannot be altered. In comparison to a fiction where you can explore different idea and introduce improvisation and over the top scenes...
BLASPHEMY.

The most pleasurable aspects of the film I found was the high rise tight rope walking and the intense build up to planning the tight rope walk. Scenes of the guards walking in and keeping an eye on the twin towers for trespassers was thrilling as we watched clips of Phillipe and his friends hide in plain sight.

There is a sense of performance in man on wire, in reference to Philippe. It was as if he was performing to us as an audience and him being almost a circus performer.

4th question - I have no idea.

"My story is a fairy tale"
Phillipe found something he loved to do and he went against laws and friends to fulfill his dreams. In fairy tales, sometimes there is rebellion to find a satisfaction within yourself and others and that is how Phillipe acted when tight rope walking over tall buildings.

6th question - ... nope, no clue

reply

His idea was quite fairy tale like, because it is rare for anyone to be crazy enough to want to walk, dance, lie on a wire connected to the two twin towers, and in one sense it ended well for him, like fairy tales do..wouldn't say the same about his ex girlfriend though😂

reply

I'd say the most "pleasurable" aspects of this film was when they were hiding out in the tower, this seemed to be the only part of the film that managed to anticipate suspense well. We somewhat eventually rooted for the characters in this scene not to get caught.

reply

Agreed

reply

for him it seemed like a fairy tale, he became famous got the chick that liked him for what he done. not a fairy tale ending that i would want😑
