would make a great movie!

You know what I mean - a movie with actors and a script and stuff. Everything they went through was really interesting and exciting. As long as the actor portraying Phillipe has some wirewalking talent, I think their story could be turned into a great film. Of course, most of everything that has to do with the towers would have to be CGIed or recreated some other way, but I think it would also be a great tribute.

Tomorrow's just your future yesterday!

Same thing I thought. I finally got to watching the movie and I enjoyed it. For some reason I kept thinking that someone like Steven Spielberg would do great with this type of movie...

I hope you're joking. If not, all your taste is in your mouth.

I think it would also make a great movie. PP's story had everything: an unbelievably difficult goal, close dedicated friendships, a love story and Manhattan, what more could a film fan ask for?

If people are worried about hurting the WTC victims families by making such a film, we all have to move on.

The new buildings should have been up already, it's all so typical of Manhattan politicians dragging their feet about everything! Anyone read up on how much money 'consultants' are making while the public is still waiting for new buildings on the WTC site to go up? How about millions yearly! Meanwhile, Mayor Bloombucks is cutting the jobs of teachers and MTA workers.

Anyone remember the Central Park Wollman Skating Rink fiasco? After months of non-stop haggling, red-tape and total bullsh$t, who else but Donald Trump came in and fixed the skating rink immediately! And for probably a whole lot less than the other companies bids were.

I also think Manhattan needs some positive vibes these days, the era PP walked the WTC towers was certainly a more innocent time, one which we'll never see again. That's for sure!

I agree. I hope they do this.

Sounds like a Steven Spielberg material. Or maybe Bob Zemeckis. I'd love to see this movie, only they'll never make it in our age of Marvel crap.

Maybe if they got Joseph Gordon-Levitt to play Philippe Petit - but he'd have to spend a whole lot of time in voice training to speak in an authentic French accent, and be trained on how to wire walk over a green backdrop - do you think they could get Philippe Petit to coach him?

reply

I doubt it will ever happen.

If the film was ever made, it might not be that good.

It's that man again!!
