It's great to see Will Smith's son displaying his acting chops, but would the atmosphere of The Karate Kid remake have been different if Dre Parker had been white? Or do the film makers think ignorant Chinese folk prefer to pick on black Americans instead?
They would probably beat him up even worse if he was white, because black skin in itself is more intimidating.

The bullies in these films were always ridiculously extreme. I'm amazed none of them were ever arrested, especially those lunatics in KARATE KID 3.
