Blu-ray review for 'Down the Shore'

"Down the Shore" takes its time meting out the part of the story that explains why Bailey feels he can’t alter his own life drastically. Unfortunately, it’s a carefully-constructed reveal that comes too late for us to truly connect with the characters, and the film limps to a hasty conclusion. This is a (mostly) well-acted little film, but the small-scale (melo)drama would probably play better on a stage than it does on screen.
