Superb acting w/ an exquisite storyline in this delicate & sensual historical Korean "thriller" that leaves us reflecting on the ride long after its over!! A lavishly elegant and refined life behind Korean palace walls combined w/ Shakespearan tragedies, sex, royal family intrigues, and relationship meltdowns! In other words, all the makings of a Yimou Zhang film, Curse of the Golden Flower ...except for the Brokeback Mountain scene, YIKES!

I thought the gay scenes were the hottest in he whole movie, hehe. They could have had a bit more of those and cut the other sex scenes a bit.
