Does anyone know what the King's song (that he sings during the big concert as Hong Lim and the Queen returns from another tryst) means? I've heard it being called a 'pedo' song here, but why? I know the English lyrics were shown in the subtitles, but none of it really made any sense?
As from the subtitles, the song seemed to speak of a flirtatious woman (albeit lyrics are constructed in a submissive way) who has various flings - the first with a man at a flower rice-cake, and since the errand boy witnessed it, he must be hushed somehow so the rumor doesn't spread... the second fling is with a temple owner, and the story repeats with a young monk.
it's a mesmerizing song, and the voice of the actor is really awesome.
probably someone really hated this movie to brand the song like that. :)
