First 10 minutes...please fill me in
So I went and saw Ballast tonight. Unfortunately due to traffic I missed the first ten minutes. I really liked the film so Im extremely curious what I missed.

Yikes. That's pretty much like saying "I went and saw the 400 Blows tonight and really liked it but had to leave right as they were playing soccer and missed the ending", or "I missed the first 10 minutes of Touch of Evil" or Boogie Nights, etc... i.e, you missed maybe one of the better opening shots of the last 10-20 years. Not sure when this is hitting DVD or Netflix, but you should definitely try to see it again (especially since you said you liked what you saw). That opening shot is a presence all of it's own.

shareYou probably should have followed Woody Allens example "sorry - forgot the film, but he is refusing to go into a theater because the film started 1 minute ago. Everyone in audience is laughing, but meanwhile he is dead serious" and refused to watch it that night.
