The little brother's movie
At the Seattle International Film Festival, I learned that younger brother also made a film in 2008 about his childhood. Can anyone tell me more about that film? Perferably, the title.

shareYou probably figured it out by now, but that movie is "C'est pas moi je le jure"
share Am I mistaken? But as far as I know, aside from both being French/Canadian the two films have zero connection.
By the way I love both films, and also know this thread is old.

There actually is a connection. Maman est chez le coiffeur was written by Isabelle Hébert and "C'est pas moi je le jure" is based on a novel written by Bruno Hébert, Isabelle's younger brother.
In both movies, the mother figure leaves the house and each movie shows how the main protagonist deals with that feeling of abandonment. The young girl acts out a bit more while the younger brother retreats into his own world.
Ok, thank you for that, I had mistakenly assumed they meant the little brother as in the actor in the film, didn't make sense.
