Well Darryl Hannah calls the cop and says Amy Singer was attacked by a killer and the cop says "Is this some kind of joke??" and tells her than Amy Singer died 5 years ago and suddenly Darryl can't see Amy in the truck anymore.

Then the long haired creepy guy from the Gas Hog comes to Darryl Hannah and tells her he needs to get her story to put her soul to rest but then the killer comes and tries to get him.

I didn't see what happened at the VERY VERY end so if someone can tell us please?

Yes, I just watched and was pissed at the ending...SPOILER
The man D. Hannah saw at the Gas Hog earlier is actually the twin brother of the killer Tobey. The good twin's defect is he can see things, meaning he saw the danger she was headed into.
The lil guy who worked at the gas station at the end is the nephew of the twins and Billy, and he sends her to the bathroom to search for Amy (b/c she's still in disbelief about her being a ghost). White back there, she sees a license plate that I assume is her boyfriends? The one who's pic she has in her car on her road trip?? She hadn't seen him since he went on his road trip-he was never found or something like that. That's where the good twin finds her...in the back, and then Tobey finds them. The lil nephew ends up killing the good twin because he was getting ready to kill his uncle Tobey (I guess he'd rather his bad uncle live over his good one, I guess)...and Tobey appears to slice up D. Hannah.

After that though, the camera shows Daryl Hannah's car and slowly zooms in to the passenger seat, which appears to have a blanket or something on it. The way it lingers on the shot made me wonder whether it was Amy's jacket or something (I know, chliched twist), but to be honest I didn't but into the film enough to bother.

After the passenger seat shot though, the camera goes up onto the roof of the Go Go Gas and shows something in the gutter, but I couldn't make it out. That whole car seat/roof bit seemed set up to show something, but just made no sense to me.

Just watched it. Spoilers. DH pulls into gas station, calls cops, reports the Amy situation and is told "Stop kidding around. Amy died five years ago." So it turns out the whole story Amy-the-ghost told DH in the car is from five years ago. DH visits the powder room in the back of the gas station and sees, overgrown with vines, her boyfriend's VW bug and the old Gas Hog sign and the deep freeze where Amy had hidden the map leading to the dead bodies.

Then DH sees a scary long-hair guy, runs, falls and breaks her leg. Scary long-hair turns out to be "the good twin" and he says Amy-the-ghost pops up once a year on the anniversary of her death and flags down someone on the highway, telling her story in an attempt to get them to locate the map, which will ultimately end the killing, which he supports. DH tells him where the map is hidden and he goes to get it, but he runs into "bad twin," who isn't all that keen on ending the killing since his future as a crazy psychopath would be bleak. Good twin gets the drop on bad twin, but the young gas station attendant (who was seen as a child five years earlier in Amy's story) apparently enjoys the status quo and shoots his Uncle Good Twin. Long-hair scary guy/Uncle Bad Twin machetes DH. Credits, interspersed with shots of something in the front seat of DH's car--Amy's jacket?--and the edge of the map sticking out of the deep freeze.

Note: next year, either Amy-the-ghost or possibly Darryl-Hannah-the-ghost is going to have to be a little bit less cryptic about the whole point of the hitchhiker exercise.
