I just started watching The Devil's Ground (The Cycle) about 15 minutes in, and the first "monologue" I saw (the one about the depletion of our resources, and how we'll eventually expect our government to acquire new ones by any means necessary) was nearly a direct rip off of a monologue from Three Days of the Condor (Robert Redford), which I just watched last night. I wonder if Sydney Pollack or any of the Condor writers are aware of this...

i think you may have not noticed that sydney pollack died the same month in 2008 that this movie premiered at cannes.
also, were you thinking of ned beatty in network, rather than redford in condor, regarding global resources?

I have to laugh! Three Days of the Condor was just on and The Devil's Ground is coming up soon. I think I'll have to watch The Devil's Ground, just because.
