Oh God, one of the worst movies ever EVER made

I got tired of this non-sense after 8 minutes, but before burning this *beep* I fast forwarded some scenes,
A guy burning everything because his light was still on (even though the wind, I assume is present)
The people electrified and some guys trying climb up, then falling and again,
The rescue man who rescued and idiot twice, just to let him go so the helicopter could survive, Shouldn't it be prepared for everything if that's a rescue helicopter?

Gezz, I've saved myself to get very angry and stopped watching this piece of *beep*
So do yourself a favor, never even thing about watching this so called movie.

I think people are being way to judgmental about everything that is misunderstood through dubbing and culture difference. I'm half Korean and lived in Korea for several years, so I guess I know what to expect from Korean movies. Yes, Korean cinema is an odd mix of comedy and melodrama, but that's just the style people enjoy in Korea. I enjoy it also, I guess it's hard for western audiences to stomach because it's just different. I haven't found any strong reviews for this movie to really convince me why this was a bad movie besides cultural barriers preventing someone from enjoying this film.

The dubbed version IS that bad... but I can imagine that it just doesn't translate well, plus the cultural barriers, as you said, don't help. But it is bad... My husband put it in when we were going to bed and after 10 minutes I had to get up and ask what the F he was watching, lol. I knew just by hearing it that is was a dubbed film, and badly dubbed at that.

I assume the original would be better, or even possible subtitles...

To be honest, to enjoy any foreign movie to the fullest you need to use subtitles and put the film in its original language. For me that's the best way to experience foreign cinema because not only do you hear the film in its original language, but you garner a mild appreciation for another countries language. Also puts you more into the zone instead of listening to crappy dubbing because frankly, I have never heard a well dubbed movie in my life. dubbing is always always bad because not only is the voice acting 99% of the time done by amateurs but they also chop up the dialogue in order to fit the mouthed words. Some meanings of things is already lost through subtitles, but not nearly as much as dubbing.

That's for sure. When I put the movie on for the first five minutes I thought there were a bunch of horrible English speaking actors in the first scene, but then I realized it was dubbed, changed the settings to Korean audio with English subs, and it instantly got me in the right mood. I really don't know why they can't at least get good voice actors to do dubbing. It would drive me crazy anyway to see that the lips and the words don't match, and usually it's just unnatural because somehow you can tell that the voice doesn't suit the actor, but at least it would sound good. Subtitles are always the way to go.

I dont think ANYTHING is lost in translation when the moron chopper rescuer cuts his rope when he could have just uncliped it. the clip is clearly visible, there was no need for the drama to cut it.
if he had come up, would he cut the rope or unclip it ?

also, he has breathing apparatus around his head, the chopper must have inflatable buoys (sea rescue chopper has that)
he could have put on his goggles and floated till another chopper came.

why did he just go down as if he was jack from titanic ?

this idiotic things make this movie a ZERO for logic and maybe 3/10 for emotions.

This ain't that Kinda movie!
