It's all about the train traffic in the land of plenty ...

and one woman's struggle to keep from falling thru the cracks and into oblivion while keeping to her own personal moral code.

Wendy has made several personal sacrifices along her journey to the PNW as she makes her way to Alaska. By the time this film is over, she will make several more sacrifices as well. She will lose 10% of her 'nest egg' needed to establish herself in Alaska. She will lose her best friend and confidant, Lucy. And she will lose her transportation, home and 'safe haven' when she loses her car.

But the dream of being independent will remain as we see her one last time boarding a freight train and listen to the whistles blow for about the 27th time indicating this is a major train hub in the land of plenty that is doing it's best to discourage a young woman's independance while teaching her a few lessons about what it truly means to be, "Independant"
