Kelly is not a hermaphrodite/intersexed. He was born a male only.
He is a cross-dresser who wishes to be female.
He is in the process of trying to get Medicaid to pay for sex reassignment surgery. Whether his request will be granted or not remains to be determined.
I'm not sure if you know Kelly and thats why you know this, but I also picked up on this during the movie. Kelly is a LIAR. HE said his mother made him be female during the year, and during the summers his dad made him be male. When HE was showing off his school pics he was a BOY. And very obviously not an intersexed person, but a born male. This GUY and that other loon collect disability yet HE can run real fast and get across the country to go see Tiffany. I would be much more sympathetic if they weren't obvious LIARS. Glad to see were my taxes go.

Man, I am on disability and make about 600 bucks a month like Kelly, and unlike that loon I barely have 40 bucks left over after food, bills, rent. I wish I could spend it all on booze and cigs and hookers and black jack. Feh, I hate being a responsible adult.

How does a picture of someone looking like a male and identifying as one in high school prove they are not intersexed. You have no idea what her genitals or chromosomes consist of; so how was it so obvious she was lying?
shareNot all hermaphrodites present with both genitalia. As a matter of fact, there are plenty of cases of hermaphrodites not even knowing they were hermaphrodites until they found out at a doctors office (usually due to genetic testing done to check for infertility).
As for people complaining about the government assistance....obviously these are not mentally stable people. Kelly could run and be active...but she was nuts. She definitely felt more dangerous....
