Was surprised - actually quite good

I was fully expecting this to be along the lines of Sharknado or some other kitschy disaster movie involving oversized squids and megasharks.

But I was pleasantly surprised, at points nodding my head in enjoyment while watching the movie. The acting was very good (definitely NOT B movie caliber), cinematography decent, pacing never left me bored, the story wasn't bad and the overall feel of the movie was great! (Oh, and the cars left me with a deep desire to acquire a fourth generation Chevrolet Nova in matte black).

This is coming from someone who can be a little snobby when it comes to movies. Michael Bay movies are trash, plain and simple, for example. Completely erratic, unbelievable, goofy and infantile.

But this little movie was refreshing in how they avoided cliches and had quite a few surprises for us. The creators obviously had equally solid direction and vision for this little jewel.

If you haven't seen it, or if you didn't like it, give it another chance. The very first scene of the overhead shot leading up to the vehicle of menace is entrancing.

I think this movie got bad reviews because it's about a possessed car. I guess the idea alone is silly to most.

Nonetheless, it's surprisingly good! Check it out.
