Too bad it's not actually FILMED in Illinois

Dunno, just think it would be more authentic if they really did film it in an actual, real, small Illinois town (Peoria? Well it's not small but it is a quintessential Mid-West factory town).

Would be more believable if they did not show those perfect, leafy, white-bread, Californian suburban streets. Bit of the grimy rust-belt Mid-Western milieu (where I grew up) would be more believable.

Despite that, it's funny as hell. Did not know it's improv, they are so good it seems scripted. Well maybe this proves something (like, "..real life is more interesting than fiction..") -- improv is better than script because it is real life.

Gonna watch this again, that's for sure.

yeah around the Carbondale area would have been cool. Its funny but doesn't resemble around here at all

Yeah they all sound like Californians. Santa Clarita? A 'factory'? Gimme a break (as they say).

If they can film "Law & Order" in New York City why couldn't they film this series in the Midwest, the real Midwest. It's a good show but authenticity is questioned if location is not real. In fact, I didn't know California even had factories, thought it was just orange groves and software labs and Hollywood.

Carbondale: nice down there? Never been there, farthest south in Illinois I've been is Rockford. (I'm a "northerner", lol).
