as the 'beast'. But I am not much on the pretty boy type and that's all the first Kyle was.

In body modification circles, he would be very desirable. IMO they went that way to further emphasize how skewed his perception of beauty is.

I agree! I thought he was cute as the beast, and right when he transformed back to 'normal' and said to my friend, "He's too pretty.."
