June/Tang

Is June really Tang? as I watched this movie further, it made me more curious about what really happened to Tang. And if June is actually Tang, what has gotten in her mind to leave her family just like that.

This is for you to decide or just wonder about. The director refused to make a statement on this.

it is confusing me too... well, if she were not, what she contributed to give the family a little smile was already great.

I think it's up to you to decide the fate of June and Tang, I actually think they are the same person, June wasn't making up her story based on a movie, perhaps she really suffered some sort of memory loss, she didn't realize anything when she was first offered the job of being an actress-daughter, she regained some of her memories from time to time but she wasn't brave enough to face it.

She might have a serious accident when she was having a trip in Chiang Mai, then she lost her memory and was raised up by some local farmers there, she didn't want to face the truth that her Chiang Mai parents weren't her real parents. It may be easier to be an actress-daughter than to admit that she was really Tang, it was simply too much to endure for her.

It's ambiguous, and rightly so, I think. It seems fairly likely to me, though.

if you will to review the content of the speeches and dialogue between Sunee and Tang/June during the time when Korn was hospitalized, where both of them were seated along the lobby. Tang talked about the reason why she did not come because she wanted to make her family proud and when she came home her family already moved (which really happened when Korn decided they have to move right after Tang disappeared) she also mentioned that her parents died (if you go deeper to context of it) Sunee and Korn really died in terms of family life because Korn had the biggest trouble coping with his lost. So i really had this feeling that Tang and June is the same.
