question for anyone that watched this

For anyone that watched this documentary...

I have been watching Val's films but haven't gotten too far. I want to watch the documentary, but not if key plot elements & spoilers will be revealed.

please advise. Thanks in advance

Watch the movies first, as the documentary explains/gives away some of the scare shots. You'll get more out of the doc if you know what they're talking about.

I rented them all, and as a body of work they really do stand up. Considering the incredible limitations he was constrained by, I think he accomplished nothing short of a miracle, considering how difficult it is to make a decent film even with the proper funding, scripts and choices. Did you watch them all? He was a producer in the real sense, not like the 50 producers you see on every film from the last 20 years. He actually was involved with the p-r-o-d-u-c-t-i-o-n, he didn't just invest money or swap a favor to get his name in the title. Curse of the Cat People was a long time favorite of mine and ever so subversive too! Reall love Lewton, I do, but I seem to be in the minority on this site, and that's A -Okay with me, considering the level of idiocy that pervades these boards.
