Refusing to indulge this film with interpretation... some desperate attempt to find meaning in it, that the creator all too obviously couldn't craft into it... does not mean that a person is not ready for how "unconventional" it is.

That's like saying to someone... "Oh, you don't like 'Here comes Honey Boo Boo'? You think it's tasteless, disgusting, and degrading? Whatever, dude, just stick to your mainstream media.".
