I thought this film was amazing, but not meant for everyone.

I thought the story was fascinatingly designed. There were many plot twists and devices used. The cinematography was brilliant. The script was amazingly dense and intelligent. The ending was surprising and compassionate.

It's just that it was so gory and hypersexualized. But that was part of the impact of the film.

I'd watch it again, actually. But I'm a gay man. I'm used to seeing a couple of penises and not uncomfortable with on-screen depictions of sexuality (however cannibalistic they were - yuck).

"Otto" is a work of art on many levels. If you disagree, that's cool, but at least have the intelligence to give a rationale.

I am also a gay man. I hope that has nothing to do with the enjoyment or lack thereof of this "film".
It's a piece of over blown, under done, self indulgent crap. There is absolutely no other way to look at it. Bruce should stick to taking still images because it's obvious he has issues with moving ones. He tries to address "issues" here, but they come across transparent and heavy handed.

I'm sure every little Emo-Homo who works and shops at Hot Topics thinks this movie is as good as it gets, but outside of the mall rats, I can't see why anyone would waste time on this beyond amateur film.

My personal fave low moment of the film, ANY of the Zombie sex. Seriously, showing a penis is only shocking in the U.S. at this point. Everywhere else has accepted the fact that males have them.

I love this movie, and yes im a little queer boy but i think i would still like it even if i wasnt.

It was different and a work of art in my opinion. I think some people just dont get it, or dont want to get it.

I agree, it was great. I'm surprised it didn't show in more cities. I think it would appeal to young people, especially those who have a little bit of patience.

yeah, i'm getting a laugh at the divide in opinions here

personally i loved the film - unexpectedly blown away by it

as you said, it works on multiple levels

simultaneously profound, lol funny, gross, twisted, heartbreaking, sexy

I too was blown away by how much I like it -- and I'm a straight woman who is not into horror films, b movies or zombie flicks. I am studying gay cinema but everything I read about this film told me I would hate it. Ultimately, my reasons for liking it weren't to do with my interest in gay cinema but what it said about heart and head. Which was a big surprise! I wanted him to be healed by love at the end as he almost was but that wasn't realistic. Love was too much for him. I also loved the idea of revolutionary refusal to participate in "consensual reality." That was what made me decide to keep watching and I'm glad I did.

OP, i agree. It was an amazing movie. But people tend to focus too much on certain things about alot of movies/tv shows which is why IMO there's alot of haters.
